Who Are We
The School of Boxing was born out of a vision: to create a safe, inclusive space where people of all backgrounds can find healing, strength, and community.
We started with a few classes. Today, we’re building a movement-with your help.

- Veterans battling PTSD and trauma
- Elderly seeking strength and mobility

Our Founders
Meet the father-son duo behind the vision-two passionate community leaders who believe in the power of boxing to change lives.
Harold Brazier, is a respected and retired American former professional boxer. He is patient has empathy for others and continues to inspire through mentoring young athletes in his hometown after retirement.
Cory Brazier was instructed and trained by his father as a young child. Cory’s commitment to daily preparation, hardwork, practice and patience has enabled him to successfully mentor youth in building their self-esteem and leadership skills.
We recognize the need in our community
According to the 2016 National Survey of Children’s Health, 33.9% of Indiana’s children and teenagers between the ages 10 to 17 are overweight or obese, with Indiana having the ninth highest youth obesity rate in the United States. Within St.Joseph county, 17% of these children are overweight and/or obese. Our youth’s physical and mental health, along with their well-being has been threatened by obesity.
The Child Health Policy Centre reports 70% of obese children, ages 5 to 17 years, have a higher risk of Type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, bone and joint problems, they are also experience more psychological problems, including self-esteem and depression.
Brazier School of Boxing has developed and implemented a youth fitness program that addresses preventing and reducing childhood obesity rates, along with building youths’ self-esteem and leadership skills.
